![]() ![]() If rates are higher, I'd opt for another nicer property. If you get a decent rate or need an SPG stay, the Westin is a solid if unremarkable choice. Caesars was a half mile walk, and City Center wasn't much further. Location is pretty good-off the Strip by just about a block, so it isn't as crazy and there are no lines for eating or to check in (at least when I was there). Breakfast buffet was free, thankfully, since I likely wouldn't pay for it and would've ordered from the menu otherwise. ![]() The resort fee still showed up on the bill under my door the next morning, but I called and it was removed. Service was great this time (being SPG Plat obviously makes a difference): was offered complimentary cold water bottles at check in, received a complimentary cheese, fruit, and cracker plate about an hour after arrival (probably a Plat benefit), and had the resort fee knocked off at check in. The room was smallish for Vegas, but the air con worked well during the day (but maybe not quite so well at night, as it did get a bit warm in the middle of the night surprisingly). It was a good AAA rate of $109 with breakfast for a standard room, but I was upgrade to their premium king room on the 17th floor. My husband and I had a birthday dinner and party to attend in Vegas, so I booked the Westin-being that I am SPG Platinum and at the time needed more elite nights to reach 75 nights. ![]()
